CLINICAL MEANING

Cortisol is one of the adrenal cortical hormones secreted by adrenal glands and is a hormone that plays an important role in maintaining biologically, promoting glycogenesis, regulating lipid metabolism, and anti-inflammatory behavior. Together with ACTH stimulation and LDDST(Low Does Dexamethasone Suppression Test). It helps to more clearly diagnose canine  Hypoadrenocorticism/Hyperadrenocorticism.
